[1:17]  1 tn Heb “and they brought up and brought out from Egypt a chariot for 600 silver (pieces), and a horse for 150, and in the same way to all the kings of the Hittites and to the kings of Aram by their hand they brought out.”

[7:21]  2 tn Heb “and this house which was high/elevated.” The statement makes little sense in this context, which predicts the desolation that judgment will bring. Some treat the clause as concessive, “Even though this temple is lofty [now].” Others, following the lead of several ancient versions, emend the text to, “this temple will become a heap of ruins.”

[9:19]  3 tn Heb “nothing like it had been made for any kingdom.”

[29:24]  4 tn Heb “said.”

[30:17]  5 tn Heb “were over the slaughter of.”

[30:17]  6 tn Heb “of everyone not pure to consecrate to the Lord.”

[31:16]  7 tn Heb “in addition enrolling them by males from a son of three years and upwards, to everyone who enters the house of the Lord for a matter of a day in its day, for their service by their duties according to their divisions.”

[32:13]  8 tn Heb “fathers” (also in vv. 14, 15), but in this context the term does not necessarily refer to Sennacherib’s ancestors, but to his predecessors on the Assyrian throne.

[32:13]  9 tn Heb “hand.”
