2 Samuel 7:27

7:27 for you, O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have told ¹  your servant, ‘I will build you a dynastic house.’ ²  That is why your servant has had the courage ³  to pray this prayer to you.

2 Samuel 18:27

18:27 The watchman said, “It appears to me that the first runner is Ahimaaz ⁴  son of Zadok.” The king said, “He is a good man, and he comes with good news.”

[7:27]  ² tn Heb “a house.” This maintains the wordplay from v. 11 (see the note on the word “house” there) and is continued in v. 29.

[18:27]  ⁴ tn Heb “I am seeing the running of the first one like the running of Ahimaaz.”
