2 Samuel 5:3

5:3 When all the leaders ¹  of Israel came to the king at Hebron, King David made an agreement with them ²  in Hebron before the Lord. They designated ³  David as king over Israel.

2 Samuel 19:11

19:11 Then King David sent a message to Zadok and Abiathar the priests saying, “Tell the elders of Judah, ‘Why should you delay any further in bringing the king back to his palace, ⁴  when everything Israel is saying has come to the king’s attention. ⁵

[5:3]  ² tn Heb “and the king, David, cut for them a covenant.”

[5:3]  ³ tn Heb “anointed.”

[19:11]  ⁴ tn Heb “his house.”

[19:11]  ⁵ tc The Hebrew text adds “to his house” (= palace), but the phrase, which also appears earlier in the verse, is probably accidentally repeated here.
