2 Korintus 3:15-16

3:15 But until this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds, ¹  3:16 but when one ²  turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. ³ 

Efesus 4:18

4:18 They are darkened in their understanding, ⁴  being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.

[3:15]  ¹ tn Grk “their heart.”

[3:16]  ² tn Or perhaps “when(ever) he turns,” referring to Moses.

[3:16]  ³ sn An allusion to Exod 34:34. The entire verse may refer to Moses, viewing him as a type portraying the Jewish convert to Christianity in Paul’s day.

[4:18]  ⁴ tn In the Greek text this clause is actually subordinate to περιπατεῖ (peripatei) in v. 17. It was broken up in the English translation so as to avoid an unnecessarily long and cumbersome statement.
