4:15 The sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh:

Iru, Elah, and Naam.

The son of Elah:

Kenaz. ¹

9:23 They and their descendants were assigned to guard the gates of the Lord’s sanctuary (that is, the tabernacle). ² 

[4:15]  ¹ tn Heb “and the sons of Elah and Kenaz.” Kenaz was actually the son of Elah.

[9:23]  ² tn Heb “and they and their sons to the gates of the house of the Lord, of the house of the tent, [were assigned] as guards.”
