2:28 I chose your ancestor ¹  from all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer sacrifice on my altar, to burn incense, and to bear the ephod before me. I gave to your ancestor’s house all the fire offerings made by the Israelites.

[9:6]  ² tn The infinitive absolute precedes the verb for emphasis.

[9:6]  ³ tn Heb “our way on which we have gone.”

[31:12]  ⁴ tc The translation follows the MT, which vocalizes the verb as a Qal. The LXX, however, treats the verb as a Hiphil, “they brought.”
