TB NETBible YUN-IBR Ref. Silang Nama Gambar Himne

1 Raja-raja 6:7

Konteks
6:7 As the temple was being built, only stones shaped at the quarry 1  were used; the sound of hammers, pickaxes, or any other iron tool was not heard at the temple while it was being built.

1 Raja-raja 18:12

Konteks
18:12 But when I leave you, the Lord’s spirit will carry you away so I can’t find you. 2  If I go tell Ahab I’ve seen you, he won’t be able to find you and he will kill me. 3  That would not be fair, 4  because your servant has been a loyal follower of 5  the Lord from my youth.

1 Raja-raja 18:26

Konteks
18:26 So they took a bull, as he had suggested, 6  and prepared it. They invoked the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, “Baal, answer us.” But there was no sound and no answer. They jumped 7  around on the altar they had made. 8

1 Raja-raja 20:13

Konteks
The Lord Delivers Israel

20:13 Now a prophet visited King Ahab of Israel and said, “This is what the Lord says, ‘Do you see this huge army? 9  Look, I am going to hand it over to you this very day. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

1 Raja-raja 20:30

Konteks
20:30 The remaining 27,000 ran to Aphek and went into the city, but the wall fell on them. 10  Now Ben Hadad ran into the city and hid in an inner room. 11

1 Raja-raja 20:39

Konteks
20:39 When the king passed by, he called out to the king, “Your servant went out into the heat 12  of the battle, and then a man turned aside and brought me a prisoner. 13  He told me, ‘Guard this prisoner. If he ends up missing for any reason, 14  you will pay with your life or with a talent 15  of silver.’ 16

1 Raja-raja 22:13

Konteks
22:13 Now the messenger who went to summon Micaiah said to him, “Look, the prophets are in complete agreement that the king will succeed. 17  Your words must agree with theirs; you must predict success.” 18

[6:7]  1 tn Heb “finished stone of the quarry,” i.e., stones chiseled and shaped at the time they were taken out of the quarry.

[18:12]  2 tn Heb “to [a place] which I do not know.”

[18:12]  3 tn Heb “and I will go to inform Ahab and he will not find you and he will kill me.”

[18:12]  4 tn The words “that would not be fair” are added to clarify the logic of Obadiah’s argument.

[18:12]  5 tn Heb “has feared the Lord” (also see the note at 1 Kgs 18:3).

[18:26]  6 tn Heb “and they took the bull which he allowed them.”

[18:26]  7 tn Heb “limped” (the same verb is used in v. 21).

[18:26]  8 tc The MT has “which he made,” but some medieval Hebrew mss and the ancient versions have the plural form of the verb.

[20:13]  9 tn Heb “this great horde.”

[20:30]  10 tn Heb “and the remaining ones fled to Aphek to the city and the wall fell on twenty-seven thousand men, the ones who remained.”

[20:30]  11 tn Heb “and Ben Hadad fled and went into the city, [into] an inner room in an inner room.”

[20:39]  12 tn Heb “middle.”

[20:39]  13 tn Heb “man” (also a second time later in this verse).

[20:39]  14 tn Heb “if being missed, he is missed.” The emphatic infinitive absolute before the finite verbal form lends solemnity to the warning.

[20:39]  15 tn The Hebrew term כִּכָּר (kikkar, “circle”) refers generally to something that is round. When used of metals it can refer to a disk-shaped weight made of the metal or to a standard unit of weight, generally regarded as a talent. Since the accepted weight for a talent of metal is about 75 pounds, this would have amounted to about 75 pounds of silver.

[20:39]  16 tn Heb “your life will be in place of his life, or a unit of silver you will pay.”

[22:13]  17 tn Heb “the words of the prophets are [with] one mouth good for the king.”

[22:13]  18 tn Heb “let your words be like the word of each of them and speak good.”
