1 Raja-raja 1:41

1:41 Now Adonijah and all his guests heard the commotion just as they had finished eating. ¹  When Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he asked, “Why is there such a noisy commotion in the city?” ² 

1 Raja-raja 12:24

12:24 ‘The Lord says this: “Do not attack and make war with your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you go home, for I have caused this to happen.”’” ³  They obeyed the Lord and went home as the Lord had ordered them to do. ⁴

20:12 When Ben Hadad received this reply, ⁵  he and the other kings were drinking in their quarters. ⁶  He ordered his servants, “Get ready to attack!” So they got ready to attack the city.

[1:41]  ² tn Heb “Why is the city’s sound noisy?”

[12:24]  ³ tn Heb “for this thing is from me.”

[12:24]  ⁴ tn Heb “and they heard the word of the Lord and returned to go according to the word of the Lord.”

[20:12]  ⁵ tn Heb “When he heard this word.”

[20:12]  ⁶ tn Heb “in the temporary shelters.” This is probably referring to tents.
