1 Raja-raja 1:25

1:25 For today he has gone down and sacrificed many cattle, steers, and sheep and has invited all the king’s sons, the army commanders, and Abiathar the priest. At this moment ¹  they are having a feast ²  in his presence, and they have declared, ‘Long live King Adonijah!’ ³ 

1 Raja-raja 14:9

14:9 You have sinned more than all who came before you. You went and angered me by making other gods, formed out of metal; you have completely disregarded me. ⁴ 

1 Raja-raja 15:18

15:18 Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and of the royal palace and handed it to his servants. He then told them to deliver it ⁵  to Ben Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, ruler in Damascus, along with this message:

[1:25]  ¹ tn Heb “look.”

[1:25]  ² tn Heb “eating and drinking.”

[1:25]  ³ tn Heb “let the king, Adonijah, live!”

[14:9]  ⁴ tn Heb “you went and you made for yourself other gods, metal [ones], angering me, and you threw me behind your back.”

[15:18]  ⁵ tn Heb “King Asa sent it.”
