1 Korintus 5:2
Konteks5:2 And you are proud! 1 Shouldn’t you have been deeply sorrowful instead and removed the one who did this 2 from among you?
1 Korintus 15:31
Konteks15:31 Every day I am in danger of death! This is as sure as 3 my boasting in you, 4 which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Korintus 4:6
Konteks4:6 I have applied these things to myself and Apollos because of you, brothers and sisters, 5 so that through us you may learn “not to go beyond what is written,” so that none of you will be puffed up in favor of the one against the other.
[5:2] 1 tn Or “are puffed up/arrogant,” the same verb occurring in 4:6, 18.
[5:2] 2 tn Grk “sorrowful, so that the one who did this might be removed.”
[15:31] 3 tn Or, more literally, “I swear by the boasting in you.”
[15:31] 4 tc ‡ Although the witnesses for the shorter reading (Ì46 D F G Ψ 075 0243 1739 1881 Ï) are not as strong as for the addition of ἀδελφοί (adelfoi, “brothers”) at this juncture (א A B K P 33 81 104 365 1175 2464 lat sy co), it is difficult to find a reason why scribes would either intentionally or unintentionally drop the address here. Thus, the shorter reading is slightly preferred.
[4:6] 5 tn Grk “brothers.” See note on the phrase “brothers and sisters” in 1:10.
