Kasdim (Orang Kasdim).

Suku-suku Aram timur di daerah barat-daya Mesopotamia. Bersama dengan orang-orang Babilon, di bawah pimpinan Nabopolasar (626-605) mereka bentuk kerajaan Babilon baru (: naskah-naskah pada zaman akhir para raja; Dan 1:4). Menurut Ydt 5:6-7 orang-orang Isr. itu berasal dari orang-orang ~K (--> Ur: Kej 11:28,31; 15:7; Neh 9:7). Oleh karena pengertian impian dan astrologi berasal dari Babilon, maka Dan 2:4-5,10; 4:4; 5:7,11 menyebut orang yang mengartikan binatang-binatang, nujum dan sihir ( --> Magi) itu orang K.
