(Now none of those present at the table ¹  understood ²  why Jesus ³  said this to Judas. ⁴ 

For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor? ¹ 

If someone thinks he knows something, he does not yet know to the degree that he needs to know.

He was in the world, and the world was created ¹  by him, but ²  the world did not recognize ³  him.

For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to advise him? ¹  But we have the mind of Christ.

The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love. ¹ 

At once the bleeding stopped, ¹  and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.

Now when Jesus ¹  knew that the Pharisees ²  had heard that he ³  was winning ⁴  and baptizing more disciples than John

Righteous Father, even if the world does not know you, I know you, and these men ¹  know that you sent me.

But again I ask, didn’t Israel understand? ¹  First Moses says, “I will make you jealous by those who are not a nation; with a senseless nation I will provoke you to anger.” ² 

Then the father realized that it was the very time ¹  Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live,” and he himself believed along with his entire household.

Now a large crowd of Judeans ¹  learned ²  that Jesus ³  was there, and so they came not only because of him ⁴  but also to see Lazarus whom he had raised from the dead.

Jesus could see ¹  that they wanted to ask him about these things, ²  so ³  he said to them, “Are you asking ⁴  each other about this – that I said, ‘In a little while you ⁵  will not see me; again after a little while, you ⁶  will see me’?

For since in the wisdom of God the world by its wisdom did not know God, God was pleased to save those who believe by the foolishness of preaching.

However, God’s solid foundation remains standing, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” ¹  and “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord ²  must turn away from evil.”

(See what sort of love the Father has given to us: that ¹  we should be called God’s children – and indeed ²  we are! ³  For this reason ⁴  the world does not know us: because it did not know him. ⁵
