Lukas 24:25

24:25 So ¹  he said to them, “You ²  foolish people ³  – how slow of heart ⁴  to believe ⁵  all that the prophets have spoken!

2 Korintus 4:3-4

4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing, 4:4 among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe ⁶  so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel ⁷  of Christ, ⁸  who is the image of God.

[24:25]  ¹ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “so” to indicate the implied result of the disciples’ inability to believe in Jesus’ resurrection.

[24:25]  ³ tn The word “people” is not in the Greek text, but is supplied to complete the interjection.

[24:25]  ⁴ sn The rebuke is for failure to believe the promise of scripture, a theme that will appear in vv. 43-47 as well.
