Yesaya 21:9

21:9 Look what’s coming!

A charioteer,

a team of horses.” ¹ 

When questioned, he replies, ² 

“Babylon has fallen, fallen!

All the idols of her gods lie shattered on the ground!”

Yesaya 26:5

26:5 Indeed, ³  the Lord knocks down those who live in a high place,

he brings down an elevated town;

he brings it down to the ground, ⁴ 

he throws it down to the dust.

Yesaya 51:23

51:23 I will put it into the hand of your tormentors ⁵ 

who said to you, ‘Lie down, so we can walk over you.’

You made your back like the ground,

and like the street for those who walked over you.”
