55:22 Throw your burden ¹  upon the Lord,

and he will sustain you. ² 

He will never allow the godly to be upended. ³ 

Mazmur 60:12

60:12 By God’s power we will conquer; ⁴

[55:22]  ² tn The pronoun is singular; the psalmist addresses each member of his audience individually.

[55:22]  ³ tn Heb “he will never allow swaying for the righteous.”

[60:12]  ⁴ tn Heb “in God we will accomplish strength.” The statement refers here to military success (see Num 24:18; 1 Sam 14:48; Pss 108:13; 118:15-16).
