Kejadian 31:18

31:18 He took ¹  away all the livestock he had acquired in Paddan Aram and all his moveable property that he had accumulated. Then he set out toward the land of Canaan to return to his father Isaac. ² 

Kejadian 32:16

32:16 He entrusted them to ³  his servants, who divided them into herds. ⁴  He told his servants, “Pass over before me, and keep some distance between one herd and the next.”

[31:18]  ¹ tn Heb “drove,” but this is subject to misunderstanding in contemporary English.

[31:18]  ² tn Heb “and he led away all his cattle and all his moveable property which he acquired, the cattle he obtained, which he acquired in Paddan Aram to go to Isaac his father to the land of Canaan.”

[32:16]  ³ tn Heb “and he put them in the hand of.”

[32:16]  ⁴ tn Heb “a herd, a herd, by itself,” or “each herd by itself.” The distributive sense is expressed by repetition.
