11:39 And these all were commended ¹  for their faith, yet they did not receive what was promised. ²

13:22 Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, ³  bear with my message of exhortation, for in fact I have written to you briefly.

[11:39]  ² tn Grk “the promise,” referring to the thing God promised, not to the pledge itself.
