Solomon Dedicates the Temple

7:1 When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven ¹  and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the Lord’s splendor filled the temple.

2 Tawarikh 15:18

15:18 He brought the holy items that his father and he had made into God’s temple, including the silver, gold, and other articles. ² 

2 Tawarikh 29:27

29:27 Hezekiah ordered the burnt sacrifice to be offered on the altar. As they began to offer the sacrifice, they also began to sing to the Lord, accompanied by the trumpets and the musical instruments of King David of Israel.

2 Tawarikh 33:22

33:22 He did evil in the sight of ³  the Lord, just like his father Manasseh had done. He offered sacrifices to all the idols his father Manasseh had made, and worshiped ⁴  them.

2 Tawarikh 35:6

35:6 Slaughter the Passover lambs, consecrate yourselves, and make preparations for your countrymen to do what the Lord commanded through Moses.” ⁵ 

[7:1]  ¹ tn Or “the sky.” The Hebrew term שָׁמַיִם (shamayim) may be translated “heaven(s)” or “sky” depending on the context.

[15:18]  ² tn Heb “and he brought the holy things of his father and his holy things [into] the house of God, silver, gold, and items.”

[33:22]  ³ tn Heb “in the eyes of.”

[33:22]  ⁴ tn Or “served.”

[35:6]  ⁵ tn Heb “according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.”
