1:10 Now give me wisdom and discernment so ¹  I can effectively lead this nation. ²  Otherwise ³  no one is able ⁴  to make judicial decisions for ⁵  this great nation of yours.” ⁶

Solomon Dedicates the Temple

7:1 When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven ⁷  and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the Lord’s splendor filled the temple.

7:19 “But if you people ⁸  ever turn away from me, fail to obey the regulations and rules I instructed you to keep, ⁹  and decide to serve and worship other gods, ¹⁰

Hezekiah’s Shortcomings and Accomplishments

32:24 In those days Hezekiah was stricken with a terminal illness. ³⁴  He prayed to the Lord, who answered him and gave him a sign confirming that he would be healed. ³⁵
