4:23 He said, “Why do you want to go see him today? It is not the new moon ¹  or the Sabbath.” She said, “Everything’s fine.” ²

6:33 He was still talking to them when ³  the messenger approached ⁴  and said, “Look, the Lord is responsible for this disaster! ⁵  Why should I continue to wait for the Lord to help?”

7:3 Now four men with a skin disease ⁶  were sitting at the entrance of the city gate. They said to one another, “Why are we just sitting here waiting to die? ⁷

9:11 When Jehu rejoined ⁸  his master’s servants, they ⁹  asked him, “Is everything all right? ¹⁰  Why did this madman visit you?” He replied, “Ah, it’s not important. You know what kind of man he is and the kinds of things he says.” ¹¹

His reply suggests that the man said nothing of importance. The translation seeks to bring out the tone and intent of Jehu’s reply.
