[3:3]  2 tc The Hebrew text has the singular, “it.” Some ancient witnesses read the plural, which seems preferable since the antecedent (“sins”) is plural. Another option is to emend the plural “sins” to a singular. One ancient Greek witness has the singular “sin.”

[3:18]  3 tn Heb “and this is easy in the eyes of the Lord.”

[11:1]  4 tn Heb “she arose and she destroyed all the royal offspring.” The verb קוּם (qum) “arise,” is here used in an auxiliary sense to indicate that she embarked on a campaign to destroy the royal offspring. See M. Cogan and H. Tadmor, II Kings (AB), 125.

[18:6]  5 tn Heb “he hugged.”

[18:6]  6 tn Heb “and did not turn aside from after him.”
