King Solomon sent men to bring him down from the altar. He came and bowed down to King Solomon, and Solomon told him, “Go home.”

Furthermore, Solomon has assumed the royal throne.

Solomon then sent this message to Hiram:

The Lord said to Solomon:

So Solomon finished building the temple.

So the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he had promised him. And Hiram and Solomon were at peace and made a treaty.

After Solomon finished building the Lord’s temple, the royal palace, and all the other construction projects he had planned,

Solomon tried to kill Jeroboam, but Jeroboam escaped to Egypt and found refuge with King Shishak of Egypt. He stayed in Egypt until Solomon died.

The rest of the events of Solomon’s reign, including all his accomplishments and his wise decisions, are recorded in the scroll called the Annals of Solomon.

When Solomon was told that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath and had then returned,

King Solomon ruled over all Israel.

King Solomon sent for Hiram of Tyre.

Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he lives in thick darkness.

Solomon built up Gezer, lower Beth Horon,

King Solomon was wealthier and wiser than any of the kings of the earth.

Solomon was told, “Look, Adonijah fears you; see, he has taken hold of the horns of the altar, saying, ‘May King Solomon solemnly promise me today that he will not kill his servant with the sword.’”

But he did not invite Nathan the prophet, Benaiah, the elite warriors, or his brother Solomon.

Now let me give you some advice as to how you can save your life and your son Solomon’s life.

If a decision is not made, when my master the king is buried with his ancestors, my son Solomon and I will be considered state criminals.”

But he did not invite me – your servant – or Zadok the priest, or Benaiah son of Jehoiada, or your servant Solomon.
