4:10 Jesus answered 1 her, “If you had known 2 the gift of God and who it is who said to you, ‘Give me some water 3 to drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” 4 4:11 “Sir,” 5 the woman 6 said to him, “you have no bucket and the well 7 is deep; where then do you get this 8 living water? 9 4:12 Surely you’re not greater than our ancestor 10 Jacob, are you? For he gave us this well and drank from it himself, along with his sons and his livestock.” 11
4:13 Jesus replied, 12 “Everyone who drinks some of this water will be thirsty 13 again. 4:14 But whoever drinks some of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again, 14 but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain 15 of water springing up 16 to eternal life.”
7:37 On the last day of the feast, the greatest day, 17 Jesus stood up and shouted out, 18 “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me, and 7:38 let the one who believes in me drink. 19 Just as the scripture says, ‘From within him 20 will flow rivers of living water.’” 21 7:39 (Now he said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, 22 because Jesus was not yet glorified.) 23
