1 Raja-raja 15:16-17

15:16 Now Asa and King Baasha of Israel were continually at war with each other. ¹  15:17 King Baasha of Israel attacked Judah and established Ramah as a military outpost to prevent anyone from leaving or entering the land of King Asa of Judah. ² 

1 Raja-raja 14:14

14:14 The Lord will raise up a king over Israel who will cut off Jeroboam’s dynasty. ³  It is ready to happen! ⁴ 

[15:16]  ¹ tn Heb “There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.”

[15:17]  ² tn Heb “and he built up Ramah so as to not permit going out or coming in to Asa king of Judah.”

[14:14]  ³ tn Heb “house.”

[14:14]  ⁴ tn Heb “This is the day. What also now?” The precise meaning of the second half of the statement is uncertain.
