2:6 Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washing, 7 each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 8 2:7 Jesus told the servants, 9 “Fill the water jars with water.” So they filled them up to the very top. 2:8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the head steward,” 10 and they did. 2:9 When 11 the head steward tasted the water that had been turned to wine, not knowing where it came from 12 (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), he 13 called the bridegroom 2:10 and said to him, “Everyone 14 serves the good wine first, and then the cheaper 15 wine when the guests 16 are drunk. You have kept the good wine until now!”
