Yeremia 4:10
4:10 In response to all this 1 I said, “Ah, Lord God, 2 you have surely allowed 3 the people of Judah and Jerusalem 4 to be deceived by those who say, ‘You will be safe!’ 5 But in fact a sword is already at our throats.” 6
Yeremia 6:6
6:6 All of this is because 7 the Lord who rules over all 8 has said:
‘Cut down the trees around Jerusalem
and build up a siege ramp against its walls. 9
This is the city which is to be punished. 10
Nothing but oppression happens in it. 11
Yeremia 6:21
6:21 So, this is what the Lord says:
‘I will assuredly 12 make these people stumble to their doom. 13
Parents and children will stumble and fall to their destruction. 14
Friends and neighbors will die.’
Yeremia 7:6
7:6 Stop oppressing foreigners who live in your land, children who have lost their fathers, and women who have lost their husbands.
15 Stop killing innocent people
16 in this land. Stop paying allegiance to
17 other gods. That will only bring about your ruin.
18
Yeremia 7:25
7:25 From the time your ancestors departed the land of Egypt until now,
19 I sent my servants the prophets to you again and again,
20 day after day.
21
Yeremia 7:28
7:28 So tell them: ‘This is a nation that has not obeyed the
Lord their God and has not accepted correction. Faithfulness is nowhere to be found in it. These people do not even profess it anymore.
22
Yeremia 9:15
9:15 So then, listen to what I, the
Lord God of Israel who rules over all,
23 say.
24 ‘I will make these people eat the bitter food of suffering and drink the poison water of judgment.
25
Yeremia 16:21
16:21 The Lord said, 26
“So I will now let this wicked people know –
I will let them know my mighty power in judgment.
Then they will know that my name is the Lord.” 27
Yeremia 17:20
17:20 As you stand in those places
28 announce, ‘Listen, all you people who pass through these gates. Listen, all you kings of Judah, all you people of Judah and all you citizens of Jerusalem. Listen to what the
Lord says.
29
Yeremia 19:8
19:8 I will make this city an object of horror, a thing to be hissed at. All who pass by it will be filled with horror and will hiss out their scorn
30 because of all the disasters that have happened to it.
31
Yeremia 22:11
22:11 “‘For the Lord has spoken about Shallum son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah but was carried off into exile. He has said, “He will never return to this land. 32
Yeremia 23:10
23:10 For the land is full of people unfaithful to him. 33
They live wicked lives and they misuse their power. 34
So the land is dried up 35 because it is under his curse. 36
The pastures in the wilderness are withered.
Yeremia 24:6
24:6 I will look after their welfare
37 and will restore them to this land. There I will build them up and will not tear them down. I will plant them firmly in the land
38 and will not uproot them.
39
Yeremia 25:18
25:18 I made Jerusalem
40 and the cities of Judah, its kings and its officials drink it.
41 I did it so Judah would become a ruin. I did it so Judah, its kings, and its officials would become an object
42 of horror and of hissing scorn, an example used in curses.
43 Such is already becoming the case!
44
Yeremia 33:4
33:4 For I, the
Lord God of Israel, have something more to say about the houses in this city and the royal buildings which have been torn down for defenses against the siege ramps and military incursions of the Babylonians:
45
Yeremia 42:19
42:19 “The Lord has told you people who remain in Judah, ‘Do not go to Egypt.’ Be very sure of this: I warn you 46 here and now. 47
