Roma 8:15-17
8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear,
1 but you received the Spirit of adoption,
2 by whom
3 we cry, “Abba, Father.”
8:16 The Spirit himself bears witness to
4 our spirit that we are God’s children.
8:17 And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ)
5 – if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.
Roma 8:23
8:23 Not only this, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,
6 groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption,
7 the redemption of our bodies.
