6:6 We know that ¹  our old man was crucified with him so that the body of sin would no longer dominate us, ²  so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

6:1 What shall we say then? Are we to remain in sin so that grace may increase?

I also perceived that this ability to find enjoyment ⁸  comes from God. ⁹

Evil Oppression on Earth

4:1 So ¹⁰  I again considered ¹¹  all the oppression ¹²  that continually occurs ¹³  on earth. ¹⁴ 

This is what I saw: ¹⁵ 

The oppressed ¹⁶  were in tears, ¹⁷  but no one was comforting them;

no one delivers ¹⁸  them from the power of their oppressors. ¹⁹ 

4:2 So I considered ²⁰  those who are dead and gone ²¹ 

more fortunate than those who are still alive. ²²
