Wahyu 11:8

11:8 Their¹ corpses will lie in the street² of the great city that is symbolically³ called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was also crucified.

Wahyu 17:2-5

17:2 with whom the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality and the earth’s inhabitants got drunk with the wine of her immorality.”⁴ 17:3 So⁵ he carried me away in the Spirit⁶ to a wilderness,⁷ and there⁸ I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. 17:4 Now⁹ the woman was dressed in purple and scarlet clothing,¹⁰ and adorned with gold,¹¹ precious stones, and pearls. She held¹² in her hand a golden cup filled with detestable things and unclean things from her sexual immorality.¹³ 17:5 On¹⁴ her forehead was written a name, a mystery:¹⁵ “Babylon the Great, the Mother of prostitutes and of the detestable things of the earth.”

Wahyu 18:3

18:3 For all the nations¹⁶ have fallen¹⁷ from

the wine of her immoral passion,¹⁸

and the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality with her,

and the merchants of the earth have gotten rich from the power of her sensual behavior.”¹⁹

Wahyu 18:10

18:10 They will stand a long way off because they are afraid of her torment, and will say,

“Woe, woe, O great city,

Babylon the powerful city!

For in a single hour your doom²⁰ has come!”

Wahyu 18:18

18:18 and began to shout²¹ when they saw the smoke from the fire that burned her up,²² “Who is like the great city?”

Wahyu 18:21

18:21 Then²³ one powerful angel picked up a stone like a huge millstone, threw it into the sea, and said,

“With this kind of sudden violent force²⁴

Babylon the great city will be thrown down²⁵

and it will never be found again!

Wahyu 19:2

19:2 because his judgments are true and just.²⁶

For he has judged²⁷ the great prostitute

who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality,

and has avenged the blood of his servants²⁸ poured out by her own hands!”²⁹

Yeremia 51:7

51:7 Babylonia had been a gold cup in the Lord’s hand.

She had made the whole world drunk.

The nations had drunk from the wine of her wrath.³⁰

So they have all gone mad.³¹

Yehezkiel 16:15-22

16:15 “‘But you trusted in your beauty and capitalized on your fame by becoming a prostitute. You offered your sexual favors to every man who passed by so that your beauty³² became his. 16:16 You took some of your clothing and made for yourself decorated high places; you engaged in prostitution on them. You went to him to become his.³³ 16:17 You also took your beautiful jewelry, made of my gold and my silver I had given to you, and made for yourself male images and engaged in prostitution³⁴ with them. 16:18 You took your embroidered clothing and used it to cover them; you offered my olive oil and my incense to them. 16:19 As for my food that I gave you – the fine flour, olive oil, and honey I fed you – you placed it before them as a soothing aroma. That is exactly what happened, declares the sovereign Lord.

16:20 “‘You took your sons and your daughters whom you bore to me and you sacrificed them³⁵ as food for the idols to eat. As if your prostitution not enough, 16:21 you slaughtered my children and sacrificed them to the idols.³⁶ 16:22 And with all your abominable practices and prostitution you did not remember the days of your youth when you were naked and bare, kicking around in your blood.

Nahum 3:19

3:19 Your destruction is like an incurable wound;³⁷

your demise is like a fatal injury!³⁸

All who hear what has happened to you³⁹ will clap their hands for joy,⁴⁰

for no one ever escaped your endless cruelty!⁴¹
