Nehemia 6:6
6:6 Written in it were the following words:
“Among the nations it is rumored 1 (and Geshem 2 has substantiated 3 this) that you and the Jews have intentions of revolting, and for this reason you are building the wall. Furthermore, according to these rumors 4 you are going to become their king.
Nehemia 7:70
7:70 Some of the family leaders
5 contributed to the work. The governor contributed to the treasury 1,000 gold drachmas,
6 50 bowls, and 530 priestly garments.
Nehemia 8:9
8:9 Then Nehemiah the governor, 7 Ezra the priestly scribe, 8 and the Levites who were imparting understanding to the people said to all of them, 9 “This day is holy to the LORD your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people had been weeping when they heard the words of the law.
Nehemia 12:43
12:43 And on that day they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced, for God had given them great joy. The women and children also rejoiced. The rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard from far away.
