Matius 12:41-42

12:41 The people ¹  of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented when Jonah preached to them ²  – and now, ³  something greater than Jonah is here! 12:42 The queen of the South ⁴  will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon – and now, ⁵  something greater than Solomon is here!

Yehezkiel 3:6-7

3:6 not to many peoples of unintelligible speech and difficult language, whose words you cannot understand ⁶  – surely if ⁷  I had sent you to them, they would listen to you! 3:7 But the house of Israel is unwilling to listen to you, ⁸  because they are not willing to listen to me, ⁹  for the whole house of Israel is hard-headed and hard-hearted. ¹⁰ 

Kisah Para Rasul 13:44-48

13:44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city assembled together to hear the word of the Lord. ¹¹  13:45 But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, ¹²  and they began to contradict ¹³  what Paul was saying ¹⁴  by reviling him. ¹⁵  13:46 Both Paul and Barnabas replied courageously, ¹⁶  “It was necessary to speak the word of God ¹⁷  to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy ¹⁸  of eternal life, we ¹⁹  are turning to the Gentiles. ²⁰  13:47 For this ²¹  is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have appointed ²²  you to be a light ²³  for the Gentiles, to bring salvation ²⁴  to the ends of the earth.’” ²⁵  13:48 When the Gentiles heard this, they began to rejoice ²⁶  and praise ²⁷  the word of the Lord, and all who had been appointed for eternal life ²⁸  believed.

Kisah Para Rasul 28:25-28

28:25 So they began to leave, ²⁹  unable to agree among themselves, after Paul made one last statement: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly to your ancestors ³⁰  through the prophet Isaiah 28:26 when he said,

‘Go to this people and say,

“You will keep on hearing, ³¹  but will never understand,

and you will keep on looking, ³²  but will never perceive.

28:27 For the heart of this people has become dull, ³³ 

and their ears are hard of hearing, ³⁴ 

and they have closed their eyes,

so that they would not see with their eyes

and hear with their ears

and understand with their heart

and turn, ³⁵  and I would heal them.”’ ³⁶ 

28:28 “Therefore be advised ³⁷  that this salvation from God ³⁸  has been sent to the Gentiles; ³⁹  they ⁴⁰  will listen!”
