5:3 Lord, I know you look for faithfulness. 1
But even when you punish these people, they feel no remorse. 2
Even when you nearly destroy them, they refuse to be corrected.
They have become as hardheaded as a rock. 3
They refuse to change their ways. 4
10:3 So Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh and told him, “Thus says the Lord, the God of the Hebrews: ‘How long do you refuse 5 to humble yourself before me? 6 Release my people so that they may serve me! 10:4 But if you refuse to release my people, I am going to bring 7 locusts 8 into your territory 9 tomorrow.
34:33 Is it your opinion 11 that God 12 should recompense it,
because you reject this? 13
But you must choose, and not I,
so tell us what you know.
1:24 However, 14 because 15 I called but you refused to listen, 16
because 17 I stretched out my hand 18 but no one paid attention,
1:25 because 19 you neglected 20 all my advice,
and did not comply 21 with my rebuke,
1:26 so 22 I myself will laugh 23 when disaster strikes you, 24
I will mock when what you dread 25 comes,
1:27 when what you dread 26 comes like a whirlwind, 27
and disaster strikes you 28 like a devastating storm, 29
when distressing trouble 30 comes on you.
1:28 Then they will call to me, but I will not answer;
they will diligently seek 31 me, but they will not find me.
1:29 Because 32 they hated moral knowledge, 33
and did not choose to fear the Lord, 34
1:30 they did not comply with my advice,
they spurned 35 all my rebuke.
1:31 Therefore 36 they will eat from the fruit 37 of their way, 38
and they will be stuffed full 39 of their own counsel.
1:19 If you have a willing attitude and obey, 40
then you will again eat the good crops of the land.
1:20 But if you refuse and rebel,
you will be devoured 41 by the sword.”
Know for certain that the Lord has spoken. 42
12:25 Take care not to refuse the one who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less shall we, if we reject the one who warns from heaven?
