Yeremia 13:20

13:20 Then I said, ¹ 

“Look up, Jerusalem, ²  and see

the enemy ³  that is coming from the north.

Where now is the flock of people that were entrusted to your care? ⁴ 

Where now are the ‘sheep’ that you take such pride in? ⁵ 

Yeremia 23:1

New Leaders over a Regathered Remnant

23:1 The Lord says, ⁶  “The leaders of my people are sure to be judged. ⁷  They were supposed to watch over my people like shepherds watch over their sheep. But they are causing my people to be destroyed and scattered. ⁸ 

Yehezkiel 34:2-3

34:2 “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds ⁹  of Israel; prophesy, and say to them – to the shepherds: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Should not shepherds feed the flock? 34:3 You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the choice animals, but you do not feed the sheep!

Zakharia 11:17

11:17 Woe to the worthless shepherd

who abandons the flock!

May a sword fall on his arm and his right eye!

May his arm wither completely away,

and his right eye become completely blind!”
