Yesaya 57:21

57:21 There will be no prosperity,” says my God, “for the wicked.”

Ayub 15:20-24

15:20 All his days¹ the wicked man suffers torment,²

throughout the number of the years

that³ are stored up for the tyrant.⁴

15:21 Terrifying sounds fill⁵ his ears;

in a time of peace marauders⁶ attack him.

15:22 He does not expect⁷ to escape from darkness;⁸

he is marked for the sword;⁹

15:23 he wanders about – food for vultures;¹⁰

he knows that the day of darkness is at hand.¹¹

15:24 Distress and anguish¹² terrify him;

they prevail against him

like a king ready to launch an attack,¹³

19:42 saying, “If you had only known on this day,¹⁴ even you, the things that make for peace!¹⁵ But now they are hidden¹⁶ from your eyes.

3:17 and the way of peace they have not known.”¹⁷
