12:1 At that time 1 you will say:
“I praise you, O Lord,
for even though you were angry with me,
your anger subsided, and you consoled me.
26:1 At that time 2 this song will be sung in the land of Judah:
“We have a strong city!
The Lord’s 3 deliverance, like walls and a rampart, makes it secure. 4
45:22 Turn to me so you can be delivered, 5
all you who live in the earth’s remote regions!
For I am God, and I have no peer.
45:23 I solemnly make this oath 6 –
what I say is true and reliable: 7
‘Surely every knee will bow to me,
every tongue will solemnly affirm; 8
49:13 Shout for joy, O sky! 9
Rejoice, O earth!
Let the mountains give a joyful shout!
For the Lord consoles his people
and shows compassion to the 10 oppressed.
52:9 In unison give a joyful shout,
O ruins of Jerusalem!
For the Lord consoles his people;
he protects 11 Jerusalem.
15:1 12 Then Moses and the Israelites sang 13 this song to the Lord. They said, 14
“I will sing 15 to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously, 16
the horse and its rider 17 he has thrown into the sea.
15:2 The Lord 18 is my strength and my song, 19
and he has become my salvation.
This is my God, and I will praise him, 20
my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
15:3 The Lord is a warrior, 21
the Lord is his name. 22
15:4 The chariots of Pharaoh 23 and his army he has thrown into the sea,
and his chosen 24 officers were drowned 25 in the Red Sea.
15:5 The depths have covered them, 26
they went down to the bottom 27 like a stone.
15:6 Your right hand, O Lord, was majestic 28 in power,
your right hand, O Lord, shattered the enemy.
15:7 In the abundance of your majesty 29 you have overthrown 30
those who rise up against you. 31
You sent forth 32 your wrath; 33
it consumed them 34 like stubble.
15:8 By the blast of your nostrils 35 the waters were piled up,
the flowing water stood upright like a heap, 36
and the deep waters were solidified in the heart of the sea.
15:9 The enemy said, ‘I will chase, 37 I will overtake,
I will divide the spoil;
my desire 38 will be satisfied on them.
I will draw 39 my sword, my hand will destroy them.’ 40
15:10 But 41 you blew with your breath, and 42 the sea covered them.
They sank 43 like lead in the mighty waters.
15:11 Who is like you, 44 O Lord, among the gods? 45
Who is like you? – majestic in holiness, fearful in praises, 46 working wonders?
15:12 You stretched out your right hand,
the earth swallowed them. 47
15:13 By your loyal love you will lead 48 the people whom 49 you have redeemed;
you will guide 50 them by your strength to your holy dwelling place.
15:14 The nations will hear 51 and tremble;
anguish 52 will seize 53 the inhabitants of Philistia.
15:15 Then the chiefs of Edom will be terrified, 54
trembling will seize 55 the leaders of Moab,
and the inhabitants of Canaan will shake.
15:16 Fear and dread 56 will fall 57 on them;
by the greatness 58 of your arm they will be as still as stone 59
until 60 your people pass by, O Lord,
until the people whom you have bought 61 pass by.
15:17 You will bring them in 62 and plant them in the mountain 63 of your inheritance,
in the place you made 64 for your residence, O Lord,
the sanctuary, O Lord, that your hands have established.
15:18 The Lord will reign forever and ever!
15:19 For the horses of Pharaoh came with his chariots and his footmen into the sea,
and the Lord brought back the waters of the sea on them,
but the Israelites walked on dry land in the middle of the sea.”
15:20 Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a hand-drum in her hand, and all the women went out after her with hand-drums and with dances. 65 15:21 Miriam sang in response 66 to them, “Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea.” 67
A song of ascents. 78
126:1 When the Lord restored the well-being of Zion, 79
we thought we were dreaming. 80
31:12 They will come and shout for joy on Mount Zion.
They will be radiant with joy 81 over the good things the Lord provides,
the grain, the fresh wine, the olive oil,
the young sheep and calves he has given to them.
They will be like a well-watered garden
and will not grow faint or weary any more.
31:13 The Lord says, 82 “At that time young women will dance and be glad.
Young men and old men will rejoice. 83
I will turn their grief into gladness.
I will give them comfort and joy in place of their sorrow.
51:48 Then heaven and earth and all that is in them
will sing for joy over Babylon.
For destroyers from the north will attack it,”
says the Lord. 84
18:20 (Rejoice over her, O heaven,
and you saints and apostles and prophets,
for God has pronounced judgment 85 against her on your behalf!) 86
19:1 After these things I heard what sounded like the loud voice of a vast throng in heaven, saying,
“Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,
19:2 because his judgments are true and just. 87
For he has judged 88 the great prostitute
who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality,
and has avenged the blood of his servants 89 poured out by her own hands!” 90
19:3 Then 91 a second time the crowd shouted, “Hallelujah!” The smoke rises from her forever and ever. 92 19:4 The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures threw themselves to the ground 93 and worshiped God, who was seated on the throne, saying: “Amen! Hallelujah!”
19:5 Then 94 a voice came from the throne, saying:
“Praise our God
all you his servants,
and all you who fear Him,
both the small and the great!”
19:6 Then 95 I heard what sounded like the voice of a vast throng, like the roar of many waters and like loud crashes of thunder. They were shouting: 96
“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God, 97 the All-Powerful, 98 reigns!
