3:18 And to whom did he swear they would never enter into his rest, except those who were disobedient?

Jesus and Moses

3:1 Therefore, holy brothers and sisters,¹ partners in a heavenly calling, take note of Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess,²

2:8 I also amassed silver and gold for myself,

as well as valuable treasures³ taken from kingdoms and provinces.⁴

I acquired male singers and female singers for myself,

and what gives a man sensual delight⁵ – a harem of beautiful concubines!⁶

3:20 Both go to the same place,

both come from the dust,

and to dust both return.
