15:2 Her father said, “I really thought
1 you absolutely despised
2 her, so I gave her to your best man. Her younger sister is more attractive than she is. Take her instead!”

15:6 The Philistines asked,
4 “Who did this?” They were told,
5 “Samson, the Timnite’s son-in-law, because the Timnite
6 took Samson’s
7 bride and gave her to his best man.” So the Philistines went up and burned her and her father.

3:29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly
