Kejadian 26:2-3

26:2 The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt;¹ settle down in the land that I will point out to you.² 26:3 Stay³ in this land. Then I will be with you and will bless you,⁴ for I will give all these lands to you and to your descendants,⁵ and I will fulfill⁶ the solemn promise I made⁷ to your father Abraham.

The Second Journey to Egypt

43:1 Now the famine was severe in the land.⁸

Kejadian 46:3-4

46:3 He said, “I am God,⁹ the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. 46:4 I will go down with you to Egypt and I myself will certainly bring you back from there.¹⁰ Joseph will close your eyes.”¹¹

Saul Begins to Persecute the Church

Now on that day a great¹⁴ persecution began¹⁵ against the church in Jerusalem,¹⁶ and all¹⁷ except the apostles were forced to scatter throughout the regions¹⁸ of Judea and Samaria. 8:2 Some¹⁹ devout men buried Stephen and made loud lamentation²⁰ over him.²¹
