1:27 God created humankind¹ in his own image,

in the image of God he created them,²

male and female he created them.³

Kejadian 2:20-24

2:20 So the man named all the animals, the birds of the air, and the living creatures of the field, but for Adam⁴ no companion who corresponded to him was found.⁵ 2:21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep,⁶ and while he was asleep,⁷ he took part of the man’s side⁸ and closed up the place with flesh.⁹ 2:22 Then the Lord God made¹⁰ a woman from the part he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 2:23 Then the man said,

“This one at last¹¹ is bone of my bones

and flesh of my flesh;

this one will be called¹² ‘woman,’

for she was taken out of¹³ man.”¹⁴

2:24 That is why¹⁵ a man leaves¹⁶ his father and mother and unites with¹⁷ his wife, and they become a new family.¹⁸

Matius 19:4-6

19:4 He answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female,¹⁹ 19:5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?²⁰ 19:6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Markus 10:6-8

10:6 But from the beginning of creation he²¹ made them male and female.²² 10:7 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother,²³ 10:8 and the two will become one flesh.²⁴ So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
