17:7 He called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contending of the Israelites and because of their testing the Lord, 1 saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”
Ulangan 32:51
32:51 for both of you
2 rebelled against me among the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the desert of Zin when you did not show me proper respect
3 among the Israelites.
