32:36 The Lord will judge his people,
and will change his plans concerning 1 his servants;
when he sees that their power has disappeared,
and that no one is left, whether confined or set free.
32:2 My teaching will drop like the rain,
my sayings will drip like the dew, 2
as rain drops upon the grass,
and showers upon new growth.
22:1 So David left there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. When his brothers and the rest of his father’s family 3 learned about it, they went down there to him.
30:11 Then you turned my lament into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and covered me with joy. 4
14:1 The Lord will certainly have compassion on Jacob; 5 he will again choose Israel as his special people 6 and restore 7 them to their land. Resident foreigners will join them and unite with the family 8 of Jacob. 14:2 Nations will take them and bring them back to their own place. Then the family of Jacob will make foreigners their servants as they settle in the Lord’s land. 9 They will make their captors captives and rule over the ones who oppressed them.
60:14 The children of your oppressors will come bowing to you;
all who treated you with disrespect will bow down at your feet.
They will call you, ‘The City of the Lord,
Zion of the Holy One of Israel.’ 10
60:15 You were once abandoned
and despised, with no one passing through,
but I will make you 11 a permanent source of pride
and joy to coming generations.
60:16 You will drink the milk of nations;
you will nurse at the breasts of kings. 12
Then you will recognize that I, the Lord, am your deliverer,
your protector, 13 the powerful ruler of Jacob. 14
11:18 The 15 nations 16 were enraged,
but 17 your wrath has come,
and the time has come for the dead to be judged,
and the time has come to give to your servants, 18
the prophets, their reward,
as well as to the saints
and to those who revere 19 your name, both small and great,
and the time has come 20 to destroy those who destroy 21 the earth.”
