Amsal 10:21-32

10:21 The teaching of the righteous feeds many,

but fools die for lack of wisdom.

10:22 The blessing from the Lord makes a person rich,

and he adds no sorrow to it.

10:23 Carrying out a wicked scheme 10  is enjoyable 11  to a fool,

and so is wisdom for the one who has discernment. 12

10:24 What the wicked fears 13  will come on him;

what the righteous desire 14  will be granted. 15

10:25 When the storm 16  passes through, the wicked are swept away, 17

but the righteous are an everlasting foundation. 18

10:26 Like vinegar to the teeth and like smoke to the eyes, 19

so is the sluggard to those 20  who send him.

10:27 Fearing the Lord 21  prolongs life, 22

but the life span 23  of the wicked will be shortened. 24

10:28 The hope 25  of the righteous is joy,

but the expectation of the wicked will remain unfulfilled. 26

10:29 The way of the Lord 27  is like 28  a stronghold for the upright, 29

but it is destruction 30  to evildoers. 31

10:30 The righteous will never be moved,

but the wicked will not inhabit the land. 32

10:31 The speech 33  of the righteous bears the fruit of wisdom, 34

but the one who speaks perversion 35  will be destroyed. 36

10:32 The lips of the righteous know 37  what is pleasing, 38

but the speech 39  of the wicked is perverse.
