12:13 King Rehoboam solidified his rule in Jerusalem;

2 was forty-one years old when he became king and he ruled for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the
Lord chose from all the tribes of Israel to be his home.
3 Rehoboam’s
4 mother was an Ammonite named Naamah.
2 Tawarikh 19:10
19:10 Whenever your countrymen who live in the cities bring a case before you
5 (whether it involves a violent crime
6 or other matters related to the law, commandments, rules, and regulations), warn them that they must not sin against the
Lord. If you fail to do so, God will be angry with you and your colleagues; but if you obey, you will be free of guilt.

31:1 When all this was over, the Israelites 8 who were in the cities of Judah went out and smashed the sacred pillars, cut down the Asherah poles, and demolished 9 all the high places and altars throughout Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. 10 Then all the Israelites returned to their own homes in their cities. 11
