3:21 Abner said to David, “Let me leave so that I may go and gather all Israel to my lord the king so that they may make an agreement
1 with you. Then you will rule over all that you desire.” So David sent Abner away, and he left in peace.

17:21 After the men had left, Ahimaaz and Jonathan 12 climbed out of the well. Then they left and informed King David. They advised David, “Get up and cross the stream 13 quickly, for Ahithophel has devised a plan to catch you.” 14

17:23 When Ahithophel realized that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey and returned to his house in his hometown. After setting his household in order, he hanged himself. So he died and was buried in the grave 15 of his father.

21:17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah came to David’s aid, striking the Philistine down and killing him. Then David’s men took an oath saying, “You will not go out to battle with us again! You must not extinguish the lamp of Israel!”

24:24 But the king said to Araunah, “No, I insist on buying it from you! I will not offer to the
Lord my God burnt sacrifices that cost me nothing.”
So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty pieces of silver. 17
