3:21 Abner said to David, “Let me leave so that I may go and gather all Israel to my lord the king so that they may make an agreement¹ with you. Then you will rule over all that you desire.” So David sent Abner away, and he left in peace.

2 Samuel 6:19

6:19 He then handed out to each member of the entire assembly of Israel,² both men and women, a portion of bread, a date cake,³ and a raisin cake. Then all the people went home.⁴

17:21 After the men had left, Ahimaaz and Jonathan¹² climbed out of the well. Then they left and informed King David. They advised David, “Get up and cross the stream¹³ quickly, for Ahithophel has devised a plan to catch you.”¹⁴

2 Samuel 17:23

17:23 When Ahithophel realized that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey and returned to his house in his hometown. After setting his household in order, he hanged himself. So he died and was buried in the grave¹⁵ of his father.

2 Samuel 19:37

19:37 Let me¹⁶ return so that I may die in my own city near the grave of my father and my mother. But look, here is your servant Kimham. Let him cross over with my lord the king. Do for him whatever seems appropriate to you.”

21:17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah came to David’s aid, striking the Philistine down and killing him. Then David’s men took an oath saying, “You will not go out to battle with us again! You must not extinguish the lamp of Israel!”

2 Samuel 24:24

24:24 But the king said to Araunah, “No, I insist on buying it from you! I will not offer to the Lord my God burnt sacrifices that cost me nothing.”

So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty pieces of silver.¹⁷
