2 Petrus 3:4

3:4 and saying, “Where is his promised return? For ever since our ancestors died, all things have continued as they were from the beginning of creation.”

2 Petrus 3:9-10

3:9 The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 10  3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; when it comes, 11  the heavens will disappear 12  with a horrific noise, 13  and the celestial bodies 14  will melt away 15  in a blaze, 16  and the earth and every deed done on it 17  will be laid bare. 18

2 Petrus 3:12-13

3:12 while waiting for and hastening 19  the coming of the day of God? 20  Because of this day, 21  the heavens will be burned up and 22  dissolve, and the celestial bodies 23  will melt away in a blaze! 24  3:13 But, according to his promise, we are waiting for 25  new heavens and a new earth, in which 26  righteousness truly resides. 27
