17:1 In the twelfth year of King Ahaz’s reign over Judah, Hoshea son of Elah became king over Israel. He reigned in Samaria 2 for nine years.
8:12 “Do not say, ‘Conspiracy,’ every time these people say the word. 3
Don’t be afraid of what scares them; don’t be terrified.
8:13 You must recognize the authority of the Lord who commands armies. 4
He is the one you must respect;
he is the one you must fear. 5
8:14 He will become a sanctuary, 6
but a stone that makes a person trip,
and a rock that makes one stumble –
to the two houses of Israel. 7
He will become 8 a trap and a snare
to the residents of Jerusalem. 9
10:7 Everyone should revere you, O King of all nations, 10
because you deserve to be revered. 11
For there is no one like you
among any of the wise people of the nations nor among any of their kings. 12
1:50 from 16 generation to generation he is merciful 17 to those who fear 18 him.
