2 Timotius 4:6-8
4:6 For I am already being poured out as an offering, and the time for me to depart
1 is at hand.
4:7 I have competed well;
2 I have finished the race; I have kept the faith!
4:8 Finally the crown of righteousness is reserved for me. The Lord, the righteous Judge, will award it to me in that day – and not to me only, but also to all who have set their affection on
3 his appearing.
2 Timotius 4:16-18
4:16 At my first defense no one appeared in my support; instead they all deserted me – may they not be held accountable for it.
4:17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message
4 would be fully proclaimed
5 for all the Gentiles to hear. And so I was delivered from the lion’s mouth!
4:18 The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed and will bring me safely
6 into his heavenly kingdom. To him
7 be glory for ever and ever!
8 Amen.
