18:10 The next day an evil spirit from God rushed upon Saul and he prophesied within his house. Now David was playing the lyre 1 that day. There was a spear in Saul’s hand, 18:11 and Saul threw the spear, thinking, “I’ll nail David to the wall!” But David escaped from him on two different occasions.
12:43 “When 2 an unclean spirit 3 goes out of a person, 4 it passes through waterless places 5 looking for rest but 6 does not find it. 12:44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the home I left.’ 7 When it returns, 8 it finds the house 9 empty, swept clean, and put in order. 10 12:45 Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there, so 11 the last state of that person is worse than the first. It will be that way for this evil generation as well!”
11:24 “When an unclean spirit 12 goes out of a person, 13 it passes through waterless places 14 looking for rest but 15 not finding any. Then 16 it says, ‘I will return to the home I left.’ 17 11:25 When it returns, 18 it finds the house 19 swept clean and put in order. 20 11:26 Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there, so 21 the last state of that person 22 is worse than the first.” 23
