1 Yohanes 3:16-19
3:16 We have come to know love by this:
1 that Jesus
2 laid down
3 his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians.
3:17 But whoever has the world’s possessions
4 and sees his fellow Christian
5 in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God
6 reside
7 in such a person?

3:18 Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue but in deed and truth. 9
3:19 And by this 10 we will know that we are of the truth and will convince 11 our conscience 12 in his presence, 13
