Kejadian 50:23

50:23 Joseph saw the descendants of Ephraim to the third generation. ¹  He also saw the children of Makir the son of Manasseh; they were given special inheritance rights by Joseph. ² 

Ayub 42:16

42:16 After this Job lived 140 years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation.

Mazmur 103:17

103:17 But the Lord continually shows loyal love to his faithful followers, ³ 

and is faithful to their descendants, ⁴ 

¹ tn Heb “saw Ephraim, the children of the third.”

² tn Heb “they were born on the knees of Joseph.” This expression implies their adoption by Joseph, which meant that they received an inheritance from him.

³ tn Heb “but the loyal love of the Lord [is] from everlasting to everlasting over those who fear him.”

⁴ tn Heb “and his righteousness to sons of sons.”
